about music & media
Music & Media
Mr. Greene, Teacher | Heights Academy | Room 12
Music & Media is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary course that integrates current web-based and mobile technology, engaging students in the learning process both in and outside of the classroom.
Music & Media students will be exploring all elements of music and creative expression through collaborative projects such as songwriting, instrumental performance, filmmaking, and multimedia presentations. The course work will connect to other content areas such as language arts, social studies, and math, including collaborative projects between other GHMS classes and other schools.
Students will also explore contemporary music history (blues, rhythm & blues, rock and roll, soul, and rap and hip hop) using web-based and mobile technology to collaborate with classrooms around the globe, document their learning experiences, and connect with their core content classes.
