All About Me: A Project Exploring Who We Are and How We Learn

"All About Me" is a culminating activity focusing on effective communication skills. Student presentations included results from a 10-question survey and learning style quiz data. (View the 10 questions here.) The activity objective was to develop, practice, and deliver a 10-15 second presentation that demonstrated effective communication skills. The criteria for effective communication skills as determined by the students included eye contact, voice projection, articulation, and confidence. Students had to introduce themselves, announce their learning style(s), and share three things about themselves (from the 10 question survey) that they believed to be the most important for others to know. Students practiced in small groups before delivering their final presentations in front of the camera. They were asked to provide each practicing presenter with one positive observation and one specific suggestion for improvement (constructive criticism). Watch the two project videos below.
